The easiest desert stay starts with knowing what to expect. Desert Drifter is a small RV resort in Old Town Yucca Valley, with full-hookup sites and two ready-to-stay trailers. It is a convenient base for Joshua Tree, restaurants, and local shopping.
BEFORE YOU DRIVE IN
Read your reservation details for your site or trailer assignment, arrival instructions, and access information. If anything looks unclear, contact our team before arrival. Guests have praised smooth check-in, while some walk-in and third-party bookings have caused confusion. A quick check ahead of time helps.
YOUR SPACE AND THE SHARED SPACES
RV guests should review their site details and rig dimensions. Trailer guests have private accommodations, while the pool, clubhouse, fire pit, laundry, and resort showers are shared. The Shasta has a private toilet room and uses the shared showers; the Airstream has its own bathroom.
A REAL OLD TOWN LOCATION
We are along the main road through Yucca Valley. That makes restaurants, shops, and day trips easy, but traffic can be audible, particularly for light sleepers. Guests describe different experiences with noise, so we prefer to be direct about it.
Bring the essentials for a desert trip: water, sun protection, layers for temperature changes, and any comfort items you like for sleeping. Once you arrive, settle in and enjoy a practical basecamp with a pool, clean facilities, and people available to help.
